National Parks
of Panama:Deals

The National Institute of Natural Renewable Resources (INRENARE) through the Directorate of Protected Areas and Wildlife has established 14 National Parks with a total area of 1,391,833 hectares representing approximately 22% of the surface area of the country.

Altos de Campana National Park

The Altos de Campana National Park is 50 kilometers from Panama City, in the Province of Panama, on Chame Bay on the Pacific coast. It was the first National Park established in Panama, back in 1966. It is about one and a half hours drive from Panama City. The road from Panama City runs parallel to the coast. You pass through the towns of La Chorrera and Capira. A few kilometers after passing these towns, a side road takes up up to the park.

Amistad National Park

The La Amistad International Park is an international peace park in Latin America, management of which is shared between Costa Rica and Panama. Due to its remote location it is perhaps one of the least explored of the Panama National Parks.
